From Heart and Soul by John Marshall

This collection of poems has been   written over a number of years, and  cover a diverse range of topics, from love poems written for his wife, to such varied themes as nature, philosophical subjects, and some of quite a comical nature. The author tends to pick subjects which occur to him from his life experiences, or ideas supplied to him by friends and family. The result is an eclectic mix of poems, which all have a personal connection to the author and his life.

A 'Battersea dog' who won over our heart,
she charmed our lives from the very start.
So much joy she brought our way,
filling our lives with pleasure, day by day.
Memories flood wherever we are –
memories of our baby, no longer there.
